Hey, y’all! I’m Kristyn Rowe, the photographer behind Kristyn Rowe Photos.
I recently graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences, and I am now a first-year veterinary student at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. When I am not behind the camera, I am usually studying, spending time with my friends and family, or hanging out with my cats.
I first picked up a camera because I loved creating photographs and preserving meaningful moments. What began as a hobby grew into a business that has allowed me to photograph graduations, families, couples, proposals, events, and wedding days.
One of my favorite parts of photography is helping people see themselves in a confident and beautiful way. You do not have to know how to pose or feel naturally comfortable in front of the camera. Guiding you through that process is part of my job. My photography style is bright, colorful, natural, and heartfelt. I love polished portraits, but I also pay attention to the laughs, movement, reactions, and small moments that make your photographs feel personal.
I am based in Auburn, Alabama, and serve Auburn, Opelika, and surrounding areas. I am also available for travel throughout Alabama and beyond.
My Approach
Most of my clients tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera — and that is completely normal. I will guide you through flattering poses, natural movements, and prompts that create real expressions without making your session feel forced. You will receive help selecting a location, planning outfits, and preparing for your session so you can arrive feeling confident and ready.

General Policies
- A nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the total cost is due at the time of booking. This must be paid before I add you to my calendar! The deposit is applied towards the total session cost. The remaining 50% must be paid the day of the shoot for all shoots except for weddings (weddings will have a written contract and the remaining 50% must be paid the day before the wedding.) Accepted payment methods include cash, cashapp, or apple pay.
- If a session is cancelled by the client, the deposit is still nonrefundable.
- Rescheduling is allowed if I am given 48 hour notice. If an emergency comes up, please let me know asap and I will also work around that for rescheduling.
- Outdoor sessions are weather-dependent. In the event of unsafe or unfavorable weather, sessions may be rescheduled at no additional cost. Final weather decisions are made by the photographer.
- Please arrive on time for your session! Late arrivals will result in reduced shooting time and cannot be extended. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may be considered a no-show. Please text/call me if you are running late!
- Each photography session is designed for the specific type of shoot that was booked. For example, a family session includes family portraits only, while engagement, couples, maternity, branding, or other specialty sessions must be booked separately. If you would like photos for multiple session types, they must be booked as separate sessions. For instance, engagement photos cannot be taken within a family session, and branding photos cannot be included within a couples session. If you are interested in multiple types of photos, please reach out before booking so we can schedule the sessions accordingly.
- Failure to arrive for a scheduled session without notice will be considered a no-show and will result in forfeiture of all payments and a ban for booking any other shoots with me.
- Gallery delivery time is typically 2-3 weeks from the session date. During peak seasons, turnaround times may be extended. I do offer expedited delivery during certain times but if it is peak exam season I will not be able to expedite, as I am a 1st year vet student also!
- By booking, clients acknowledge familiarity with my editing style. If there is a certain editing style you are looking for that does not match my normal editing, please send me an inspo photo and I will work with you on it and be sure I can match your vision.
- RAW, unedited images will not be provided.
- Image selection and final edits are at the photographer’s discretion. Delivered images will be provided via an online gallery for download.
- By booking with me, Kristyn Rowe Photography retains full copyright to all images and the images may be used for my portfolio or social media. If there is a circumstance where you or a child cannot be posted online, please let me know so I do not post. Clients are granted personal usage rights.
- Sessions may be terminated if unsafe, inappropriate, or uncooperative behavior occurs. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
- Outfit changes and personal props are welcome within the session time. Excessive outfit changes may reduce shooting time.
- While posing guidance is provided, client participation and cooperation are essential to achieve desired results, please come prepared!
Travel Policy
- Sessions include travel within 50 miles of the photographer’s home base, Opelika AL
- Locations beyond this range may incur a travel fee. Travel fees will be discussed prior to booking.
- Mileage is calculated using google maps and the client may request proof of mileage if desired.
- Travel beyond 50 miles is subject to the following fees:
• 50-100 miles: $50
• 101-150 miles: $100
• 201+ miles: Custom quote
